Responsibilities: The SHRG is responsible for a variety of activities, including:
1. Working with the recruitment manager and divisional personnel to identify staffing needs, develop and implement recruiting strategies, screen/review resumes, facilitate interview and selection processes, facilitate and participate in onboarding;
2. Administering corporate human resources plans and procedures for ESG personnel; assisting in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures for the firm;
3. Serving as an internal consultant to ESG management and staff regarding HR matters;
4. Performing benefits administration, including assistance with claims resolution, change reporting, and employee communications; participating in the annual benefits renewal process;
5. Working with the HR Director to handle employee relations issues, answer questions, explain and interpret corporate policy, perform exit interviews for Portland/ESG staff.
6. Participating in the evaluation of decisions, programs, approaches and results of the HR team in relation to established goals. Recommending new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency and efficacy of the department and the services it provides.
7. Maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
8. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Education and Experience Required:
1. Bachelor’s degree
2. 4-6 years of HR experience, demonstrating increasing competence and responsibilities, preferably in a professional services firm
3. Strong background in recruiting and staffing
4. Strong background in employee relations
5. Exceptional communications and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with all levels of the organization and the ability to meet objectives through persuasive presentation of goals and objectives
6. Experience in an HR consultative role
7. Ability to work, manage time, and manage multiple constituents independently
