| Position Summary |
As the Director of Human Resources for Guardian Real Estate Services, you’ll enjoy a fun, energetic and ever changing environment where every day is different and you can expect to continuously learn and grow within your career. In this position you will feel a sense of purpose and empowerment from being in charge of planning, managing and creating new practices within the administrative and operational duties of the Human Resource department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
In partnership with executive and senior management, actively contribute to formulate, develop, implement and drive results on key organizational issues, including but not limited to: talent recruitment and retention, employee relations, employee coaching, HR related training and orientation supervision, performance appraisal system development, organizational design to promote a fair and equitable work environment, and increase productivity, improve morale and support overall management effectiveness.
Provide leadership and direction to the HR and management team for developing practices, communications and methods for creating a responsible and responsive employee-friendly environment that promotes productivity and the achievement of organization objectives.
Establish ongoing dialog with executive and management level employees in a multi-division organization through effective consultation on operational issues. Evaluate candidates and provide recommendations and direction to hiring managers and employees.
Strong strategic planning skills, an excellent track record of implementing programs and processes that yield positive results, and experience in assessing performance and staffing needs for corporate and onsite management positions.
Working with the internal/external legal counsel representatives to develop and implement methods for legal compliance in employee relations and employment practices. |

| Requirements |
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:
A minimum of 5 years related experience plus a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with at least 3 years in an HR Manager Role
Proven expertise in developing and overseeing a recruitment team – strongly preferred
Knowledge of full cycle payroll concepts, laws and principals
Proven track record in Benefits Administration including Workers Comp. and Safety
Strong experience with developing, reviewing and administering compensation plans
Must be able to foster and maintain an atmosphere of open and positive communication and work effectively with all levels of employees, including executive management.
Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook skills
Ability and willingness to work extended hours based on business necessity |
